As an undergraduate student, I studied economics. I was fortunate to see how these concepts manifest first-hand through numerous worldwide deployments. As I learned more about economics, it became apparent that there was even more I didn’t know. These gaps in knowledge were the glue holding the art and science of economics together. As I began to look for the right master’s program, I knew a strong base in quantitative analysis was required to progress in fields like economics. I also needed a better understanding of qualitative studies like international relations, geopolitics, world history, human psychology, central banking, and other factors with significant economic implications. The MA in Global Risk (online) program offered a unique blend of education, developing the requisite comprehension in these categories. A blend that I could not find at any other school or program.

I serve on active duty and will transition out of the military later this year. My job requires widespread and short-notice travel, and studying online was the only way I could make higher education work with my lifestyle. The MA in Global Risk (online) program’s flexibility made it all possible, and the staff made it all achievable. Additionally, the MA in Global Risk staff has done an incredible job recruiting diverse student cohorts. This diversity has significantly enhanced learning for all students. Each student brings new energy, ideas, understanding, perspectives, and questions to every interaction and discussion.

My career at the Federal Reserve System—the most influential central bank in the world—is a direct result of the MA in Global Risk (online) program. It has genuinely been the linchpin for this incredible opportunity.
